Riding technique and group riding

• A helmet is mandatory

• Drop-handlebars only

• No use of tri-bars

• No ear-buds or headphones

• No center-lining (Stay on the right side of the road at all times)

• Up to two abreast where traffic permits

• For two abreast, keep handlebars on the same height and no empty gaps to keep the group compact

• No half-wheeling (Your front wheel stays behind the rear wheel of the person in front of you)

• Indicate road hazards manually or orally

• Minimize abrupt maneuvres in the group, such as sudden braking, swerving, and standing up

• Indicate before you stand up because there will be a «kickback»

• If you ride in front of the group, you are responsible for the correct routing

• If you ride within the group, you follow the lead of the person in front

Behavior

• Respect your fellow riders and other road users. Give feedback in a respectful way.

• Do not provoke other road users or react to provocations from others.

• Spitting and nose cleaning only if you're at the very end of the group.
